We’re seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Credit Union Board as an Associate Director — a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of a community-focused financial institution. You’ll work closely with our seasoned Board of Directors to gain exposure to key decisions that impact the lives of our members and the success of the organization.

Qualifications we’re looking for: passion for community, leadership experience (business, finance, nonprofit, or governance a plus), financial literacy, commitment to integrity, diversity of experience, self-driven curiosity, collaboration, consensus-building, basic technological adeptness, and enjoyment of group dynamics and teamwork.
Responsibilities: the board meets in person the 3rd Wednesday of every month (usually 5–7 PM) plus the annual membership meeting. A 2-year term is required, and you must become an MCCU member before joining the board. Associates are active members of the board with similar responsibilities to a full director, but no voting rights. Strict confidentiality of credit union business is required.
What we offer: this is a volunteer position with a $500/month stipend, anticipating about 10 hours per month of board work — and a dynamic, inclusive environment where your voice is valued.
